Work with Us

INSPIRE Psychological Wellness offers opportunities to join the practice as a part-time independent contractor. This is ideal for those seeking a flexible part-time role, like the feel of working as an independent clinician, but with the advantage of joining a growing practice. Practice values when bringing on additional providers include:

  • Clinician autonomy (no micromanaging, work with the clients you feel most suited to)
  • Flexible scheduling (how you schedule your time is between what works best for you and your clients)
  • Competitive compensation (keep the majority of the earnings for the services you provide)
  • Collegial atmosphere (consult on challenging cases or clinical questions in an open and welcoming environment)
  • Limited meetings (roughly once a month for 1 hour) and administrative time so that you can focus on your clinical work

Licensure: we seek psychologists who are licensed in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC and/or New York and have PSYPACT or are eligible to obtain PSYPACT (i.e., licensed in a PSYPACT state and living/rendering services in that state)

Payment: willingness to go in-network with an insurance carrier and an employee assistance program. We will provide step by step guidance and facilitate the credentialing process on your behalf. Any other clients seen are out-of-network/private pay.

Time Commitment: availability to gradually grow to a caseload of 10 to 15 sessions a week and attend roughly 1 practice meeting a month.

Requirements: completion of an APA accredited doctoral program and internship as well as a fellowship in your area of expertise.

Desired Interests and Attributes: Psychologists who are self-reflective, open-minded, value ongoing learning and are committed to providing excellent holistic mental healthcare would be a great fit! In addition to offering traditional evidence based psychotherapies such as various forms of CBT, we are committed to providing integrative psychological services. As such, those with an interest and/or experience in any of the following treatment modalities and theoretical orientations are particularly encouraged to apply: somatic based psychotherapies, EMDR, internal family systems, attachment based psychotherapy, nutritional psychology, integrating yoga into psychotherapy, ACT and MBSR.
